Q.Freshwater Species Behavior
Where do bass go in winter?
A.
Winter bass move to deep structure — main-lake points, channel ledges, and deep humps in 20-40 feet of water. They become lethargic at water temperatures below 50°F and feed minimally, often holding tight to structure for weeks at a time. Slow-moving baits (jigs, blade baits, jigging spoons) worked vertically produce when warmer-water tactics fail.
