Soft-plastic paddle tail jigs (3-4 inch) on 1/8-1/4 oz jigheads catch trout reliably across the range. Topwater walking baits at dawn and dusk produce explosive hits during warm months. Popping corks rigged with shrimp under them are effective on grass flats. MirrOlures and similar suspending baits work in cooler water.
