Pre-spawn fish concentrate on staging structure adjacent to spawning areas — points, flats, and channel transitions just outside coves. During spawn, fish move into shallow bedding cover. Post-spawn, fish recover in slightly deeper cover near the spawning area before moving to summer patterns. Each phase has predictable location patterns.
