Tide stage water type guide

Bridge Pilings & Dock Structure tide fishing guide.

Bridge fenders, dock pilings, and similar urban structure in tidal water. Concentrate barnacles, baitfish, and ambush predators.

How tide moves through bridge pilings & dock structure

Current creates eddies and shadow lines on the downstream side of every piling. Predators hold in the shadow line ambushing bait swept past by the current. The strongest current — usually mid-incoming or mid-outgoing — produces the most pronounced shadow line and the most concentrated fish.
