PowerBait (especially yellow, orange, and rainbow blends), live nightcrawlers, salmon eggs, and small inline spinners (Mepps Aglia, Panther Martin) all produce reliably on freshly stocked trout. Hatchery fish are conditioned to pellet feed and respond strongly to scent-based baits.
