How do I report a fish kill?

Most state wildlife or environmental agencies have hotlines for reporting fish kills (large numbers of dead fish in one location). Note location, approximate number of fish, species if identifiable, and any visible cause (water discoloration, smell, recent rain, visible spill). Quick reporting helps agencies respond and identify pollution or disease events.
